It's Springtime in Northern CA and that means it's time for our annual Yard Sale! In an effort to keep things simple, comply with insurance regulations and make it a great experience for one and all, this year we have a list of acceptable items we can take by donation, and conversely some items we cannot. The goal, as per former sales, is to raise money for the Center so as to help us provide for our community veterans.
The sale is scheduled for April 26th and 27th. Please give the list a good look for your donations and we will be adhering to this list. You can click on the list for a larger view.

ANNOUNCEMENT:
Due to an unforseen glitch in our comprehensive insurance policy at the Veterans Community Center, we will be closed for a few days. The closure will be from Thursday March 14th through the 25th. This is only a temporary preventative measure and we will be coming back with a big week! Don't forget that March 28th we will be hosting an Easter celebration lunch with some fantastic food (you know we don't skimp for our Veterans!) planned to serve. Don't miss it! As usual, we are shooting for 11am for food, but come by early for coffee and fellowship and enjoy the great piano tunes by our pianist Dan! See you all there! The revised Calendar of Events has been posted on the website - but we'll post it here too for your convenience. Veterans Community Center, Citrus Heights, CA has now joined with a great partner, Fundraiser 4 Us, to provide a wonderful way for people to donate a Christmas tree or Wreath to support our active duty military members and their families. It's easy!
Click HERE or click the picture above and it will take you right to our site where you can order! You help support our Center while you do something awesome for a serving member of our military and their family. If you have any questions or want to learn more specifics, email Michelle Grant (Our Manager) @ m.grant@veteranscommunityctr.org Thank you and Happy Holidays in advance! What's the most fun you can have on a Friday afternoon? Oh sure, there's "Happy Hour" but that doesn't usually start until 3 or 4 in the afternoon. Get your weekend started with a great cause and a great time at our annual Luau buffet with live music and dance performances! Only $25 gets you the whole experience!
Check out the flyer below: Last Friday, July 7th, marked the first BBQ Friday at Veterans Community Center, Citrus Heights. And it was a hit!
So, we will continue on the new tradition and make it a weekly thing. We will serve up BBQ faire extraordinaire! How great is that!? Bring your appetite, a couple of bucks ($5 donation would be appreciated, although not mandatory) and get ready for some good grilled eats! This now brings the 4th day of the week we are serving food to our Vets! Not only that, but we are discovering that the staff here at the VCC can really cook! Don't miss out! Come by and partake with us, we would love to see you. They say patience is a virtue, and those of you who waited for the reset date for our annual Spaghetti Fundraiser Dinner were handsomely rewarded with a great dinner and event! Thanks to all who attended and for your wonderful patience in allowing us to bring this to you! Check out this short video that captured the jist of the evening: Thanks again to all who attended and support our local veterans! We appreciate you all! Now don't forget to mark your calendars for the biggie, our Annual Luau!
The recent Memorial Day concert at the Veterans Community Center in Citrus Heights was once again a good time had by all! In our second year of this free event, we had good attendance, good food and drink and great music! Check out this video recording summing up the day's events! Special thanks to all who attended and the great volunteers who helped make it all happen!
It's almost here! It's Memorial Day weekend approaching, time for Summer to "officially" start and for the Veterans Community Center in Citrus Heights to kick it off with their 2nd Annual Free Concert!
Last year's event, the first of many, was a great time! This year's band is a big one, the 40-piece BEN ALI Shriner Band, under the direction of Music Director Jerry Lopes. This accomplished all volunteer ensemble has been entertaining folks in the Sacramento region for over 40 years! Don't miss this uplifting event! If you have come by our facility for special events in the past, you know we have always struggled for parking space. Well, that issue has been solved! We have acquired the lot next to us and it's been graded flat for great parking, so now we have plenty of space for everyone who wants to come by! It's only an hour, it's free, and it's the kickoff for your Summer! See you there! Our annual Spaghetti Feed Fundraiser has been announced and its coming up fast! Get your tickets now as they won't last long! Always a fun night with great food, fellowship and music! We will be serving no-host beer and wine for the event. All proceeds to go to the mission we have to serving the military veterans in our community! There will also be a silent auction! Come one, come all for a fun night and a great cause too!
